I told my toddler the park was closed today because I didn't have the energy to leave the house. It was 2 PM on a Tuesday. She accepted it completely, which somehow made me feel worse. We stayed in, built a fort out of the couch cushions and she told me it was the best day. I still can't decide whether I got away with something or missed something.
